iygig is a private messaging service, operated by David Aintablian, for coordinating recreational events and activities by SMS and web. Individual hosts use it to organize get-togethers and invite people they personally know; you receive messages only in connection with a host who has invited you.
What we collect
Your name and mobile phone number (provided by you or by a host with your consent), your RSVP responses, and the contents of texts you send to the service so it can respond. We also keep sign-in sessions, private Activity updates and their read/open state. If you register a mobile app for notifications, we store its notification token, permission and delivery status, tied to your signed-in session.
How it’s used
Only to run the service: sending event invitations, RSVP confirmations, headcount updates, event confirmations, and reminders, and showing you event pages. Message frequency varies (typically a few messages per week around scheduled events). Message and data rates may apply.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is not sold or shared for marketing. Event organizers can access the contact information needed to run their events. Your name and attendance are visible only to your host and to the other people invited to that same event; nobody outside it sees anonymous counts only. Messages are processed by our messaging providers to deliver the service. Enabled app notifications are processed by Apple or Google using the registered device token and the notification preview. Provider acceptance does not tell us whether you read it.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. Reply HELP for help. You can leave individual crews or delete your account from your account settings.
Deleting your account
In Account & text settings, choose Delete my account and review the confirmation. Deletion removes your account profile, sign-in sessions, crew memberships, invitations, connections, and the private conversation and message records addressed to your account. It also removes your Activity history, app notification preferences, registrations and personal notification delivery records. Active events you organize are cancelled; shared event records retain their titles and other participants’ information, with your account no longer attached as organizer.
Messages already delivered to other people, and shared event text they can access, may still mention you. Identified references in stored operator notices and conversation history are redacted. Other members’ private block records may retain your number to prevent renewed unwanted contact; deleting an account does not cancel their protection. Provider-held records are outside the app’s account database. Operator audit entries that directly identify your account are redacted on self-service deletion. The configured service operator must transfer that role before deleting their account.
